Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 10, 2024

This Privacy Policy explains how Oppulence Software Inc. ("Oppulence," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use our CashOps control plane, including Canvas, Billing, Workspace, our public website, APIs, and related services (the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy and understand how we process your information.

Our team is small and rapidly iterating on the Services. We handle your data carefully and transparently, but we do not claim broader capabilities than what we can support today. If you have questions, contact support@oppulence.app.

Personal Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Account and contact information: name, email address, role/title, phone number, company details, workspace name, and authentication credentials.
  • Billing information: payment method details (processed by our payment provider), billing contact information, subscription and plan history, invoices, and transaction records.
  • Workspace data: operational data you choose to connect to the CashOps timeline (e.g., event metadata from payment processors, accounting systems, bank feeds, API payloads, attachments, comments, audit logs, and support requests). This may include information about your employees, customers, or vendors depending on your configuration.
  • Usage and telemetry data: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, pages viewed, features used, diagnostic logs, and feature engagement metrics collected through first-party analytics tools and third-party providers such as PostHog or similar. We use this to monitor reliability, detect incidents, and improve the product.
  • Support and communications: messages, emails, or attachments you send to us, including operator feedback, support requests, or onboarding documentation.

We also create aggregated or de-identified data from the information above for analytics and product development. Aggregated data does not identify you and may be used to improve the Services or share benchmarks.

How We Collect Information

We collect information directly from you when you:

  • Create or manage an account;
  • Configure integrations or upload operational data into the CashOps timeline;
  • Request support, participate in onboarding sessions, or communicate with our team;
  • Participate in research interviews or provide product feedback;
  • Subscribe to marketing communications or attend events.

We also collect information automatically when you:

  • Use the Services (e.g., telemetry, usage analytics, error logs);
  • Visit our marketing site (e.g., cookies, page analytics);
  • Interact with emails or in-product messages from Oppulence.

Finally, we receive information from third parties you choose to integrate (payment providers, accounting systems, bank connections), from our payment processor (Stripe), and from compliance or enrichment partners that help verify identities or maintain data accuracy.

How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve Canvas, Billing, and Workspace;
  • Maintain the CashOps timeline, including reconciliations, audit trails, and alerts;
  • Process payments, manage subscriptions, and send invoices;
  • Respond to support requests, onboarding, or account management needs;
  • Monitor reliability, diagnose issues, and enhance security;
  • Conduct research and development, including feature experiments;
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations;
  • Communicate with you about updates, product changes, and marketing (according to your preferences).

How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We share it with:

  • Service providers who operate infrastructure, hosting, analytics, marketing tools, customer support, and payment processing (e.g., AWS/Vercel, Stripe, logging/monitoring vendors, CRM/support tools).
  • Integration partners you connect to the Services (e.g., payment gateways, accounting platforms, banking APIs). Data sharing is governed by the configurations you enable.
  • Professional advisors (legal, accounting, auditors) to comply with legal or regulatory obligations.
  • Authorities or other parties when required by law, subpoena, or to protect Oppulence, our users, or others from harm.
  • Successors in the event of a merger, financing, acquisition, or other business transaction involving Oppulence.

Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember preferences, analyze usage, and understand campaign performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Currently, the Services do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support audit trails. If you terminate your subscription we will, upon request, delete or return Customer Data after a reasonable export period unless retention is required by law or legitimate business needs.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards such as encryption-in-transit, access controls, logging, and regular backups. Because Oppulence is currently operated by a small team, we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account or Customer Data.

International Data Transfers

The Services are hosted in the United States. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your information in the U.S. and other countries where Oppulence or its service providers operate, subject to applicable data protection laws.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or object to the processing of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact support@oppulence.app. We may need to verify your identity and your request may be limited if fulfilling it would infringe others’ rights or conflict with legal obligations.

Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to individuals under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as we evolve the Services. Material changes will be communicated via email, in-product notice, or by updating the "Last updated" date. If you continue using the Services after changes take effect, you consent to the revised Policy.
